Welcome to the Golden Ears and Pine Cone Burke Mountain region of Greater Vancouver!
Burke Mountain rests just North East of Coquitlam and West of the Northern Arm of the Fraser River. Hiking trails offers great views at decent elevation including West into the Tri-Cities (Coquitlam) and North East towards Golden Ears Provincial Park and Pitt Lake.
The Burke Mountain Naturalists (BMN) is a regional club that is primarily focused on protecting local green spaces including Pinecone-Burke Provincial Park and Eagle Mountain.
Golden Ears park has 62,540 hectares of area.
Originally built as a country retreat by Lieutenant Governor Eric Hamber, Minnekhada Lodge (Minnekhada Regional Park) is now a public tourism site.
