Interesting Facts
  • Find an assortment of tree species such as lowland fir, sitka spruce and western hemlock.

  • Burnaby Lake was carved from a glacier around 12,000 years ago.

  • It's easy to confuse Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver with Queen's Park in New West! Before Queen Elizabeth Park was public parkland, it was used as a basalt quarry providing foundation rock for Vancouver roads. Queen's Park on the other hand has been a public recreational choice for over 120 years.
