This area follows Highway 99 as it travels north beyond the Squamish Valley through Whistler and Pemberton to Lillooett Lake.

- Now known as a world-class mountain resort, Whistler has humble beginnings as a Summit Lake, BC before gaining popularity as a skiing destination in the 1960's and 70's.
- The region originally developed along the Pemberton Trail or Pemberton Portage Road as a key route for settlers during the Gold Rush era.
- Whistler is home to five lakes, Nita, Lost, Alpha, Alta and Green Lake
